Sek-kia, Taiwan's version of a custard apple, is easy to peel and fun to eat. Cut the fruit into wedges and scoop out the flesh with a spoon. This delicate, white pulp absorbs the flavors of other foods and spices, so it's always a good idea to marinate it beforehand. Sek-kia is most commonly used in desserts or poached with sugar water and served as a snack. In fact, its sweet flavor makes it an excellent substitute for traditional apples in your favorite dishes simply follow your recipe but use sek-kia in place of regular apples!
